The week was fraught with challenges, sadness, anxiety, and emotion. Strength was definitely needed to get through to the other side. Even with much love floating around, digging deep was mandatory. I have come out the other side but here is what I was experiencing.
What's On the Inside
Shiny armour on the outside,
A tough shell indeed.
Filled with protein and bone
Which is so hard to reach.
Pierce the armour without repair
And risk the chance of dying.
The tornado inside is contained
By the shiny armour outside.
Emotions swirling overwhelming,
Fighting for dominance and attention.
Feeling fragile, very much on edge,
Trying to hold it all together.
Letting go, accepting wild emotions,
The calm fighting to take over.
Acceptance struggling to win,
Forgiveness still a huge hurdle.
Softness, freedom, peace,
Kindness and gentleness, the goal.
