Sharing Tea?

It appears the first wave of Covid-19 is nearing the end in my area but the Health Authorities are slow to re-open the world as it was. I whole heartedly agree that I do not want to see a free-for-all and get exposed after all the hard work we have done. My plan will be upon re-opening to continue to do what I have been doing for weeks, I just won't feel as guilty about walking with a friend at a 6 feet distance, or going in to local stores to support small businesses.

My mental health seems to be surviving. I am responsible for keeping myself on a routine, walking, eating healthy, doing arts and crafts. and finding amazement in nature. If I were to get into trouble, I would recognize it and reach out for help. Know thyself! I do miss hugs and physical contact and seeing 3 D people. This too will improve.

For those who noticed my comments on a previous post, I have a young family member who has a tumour on the large intestine. There were problems and a colonoscopy identified the beast. Biopsy results have come back negative for cancer. Whew! The issue as always with any medical problem is how to fix this and get back to normal. The plan is within 6 to 12 months, the beast has to be surgically removed. As you likely know, removal of a tumour from the large intestine is not an easy task and there are so many things that can go wrong. My family member is young, resilient, in otherwise great health and with a wonderful surgeon will survive and thrive after the operation.

I have recently become part of an art therapy group on line. This week's homework is to create a work of art describing love. For me love is all about friends and puppies. There is a painting that goes with this but I want to share the poem. Please enjoy and be kind to one another.

Footprints in the Sand

By my side
Fading out
Running ahead
Turning about

Always checking
Looking back
Running off
On another tack

Surrounded
By those we love
Supporting
Those we love

Serenity
Of ocean waves
Eternity
Of lives saved
